Welcome to the visionary world of Nick Breakspear and his prophetic Art ensemble `Breakspear Inc`
‘Inc’ is an umbrella term to describe all those included arty playmates who have been assisting Nick Breakspear paint his fresh pictures, these past three decades. Working predominantly in the area of conceptual art — drawing on the rich Judeo-Christian ‘Mystery plays’ of yore.
Until 2005 when Nick was asked a showstopping question by an 85 year old Holocaust survivor; — “What do you see?”
Ever since he’s been trying to articulate those insights and sounds seen on his soul-searching pilgrimage. A largely unscripted expedition that’s taken him to some of the most beautiful as well as precarious locations on our unstable planet. And on this journey he’s shared the same waves and clambered over the same rubble as some of our less fortunate fellow human beings. Many of them fleeing war torn conflicts — both home and abroad. Finding out that they are just like you and me. — we all hurt — we all bleed — we are all just trying to find that elusive haven of peace on earth.
Is it any wonder these en route experiences found their way into Nick’s writings, songs and films.
